Several questions from the luncheon had to do with finding military records. Well, specifically Ancestry.com integrates the search of military records into the general "search" for information on an individual. If you want to go to the databases themselves, then log on to ancestry.com, click on the Search button in the menubar, then click on Card Catalog in the drop down; it should be the last entry. From there
In general, there is a free index to most of the online military records: http://www.militaryindexes.com/index.html. This is an index to the databases. The web master does indicate which ones will charge to access. This page is a good place to start, even if you have an ancestry.com subscription.
